Name Help

Hey guys!

 

I was wondering if anyone could suggest some names for me? Female/Male names. At the moment I'm looking particularly for name's that would fite a priestess/princess/prince/nobility.

Also for a really kool name for a swordsman, someone like Lan xD.

 

I'm currently writing a story and making some progress, but I am absolutely terrible at names!!

I've done a bit of research/googled for some names, and picked a few from other books and what not, but I don't quite like what I currently have for what I need at the moment.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .

Feel free to name the cool Lan char Vertex! Actually, I think the name is pretty unisex and would work marvelous for a princess too.

Hmm, well some of my personal favorites are Alexandra, Gabrielle/Gabriel, Ariel, Julian, Nathaniel, Asher, or Japanese names like Natsuki, Kiyo, Kuga.

 

Or you could just make up a name that's pretty/classy/cool sounding, like, um, off the top of my head... Leona, Corsan, Shinran, Akhti, Dekliri, Ashrael, Borr, Godokai, Reinalea...

 

*shrugs* Be creative! But don't focus too much on looking for/creating a "cool" name, focus more on developing the character as a cool person so they don't need a cool name. Also keep in mind context - for example don't give a villager an extravagant, multi-syllable name with apostrophes when everyone else in the village has easily pronounced, one to three syllable names.

I'd look up names of flowers in english and other languages for those femmy princessy names.

Thanks for the advice Olivia! Took it and just kept writing about the character using some generalized way to refer to someone and replaced it later with their name.

 

Lol, I'll keep it in mind Vertex.

 

Didn't think of that Sam, I'll give it try.
