You know, maybe where he travels to is the Illuminator's main guild to build a ton of Dragons, and then a cliffhanger as they blow the crap out of the Tower of Ghenjei.
I was hoping Mo's rescue would be the major part of part one, with the WT being attacked as the second part's major climax and the last being all of TG. That way she could be there for at least two full books.

These are all incredibly creepy. What were the advertisers thinking? The baby getting crushed by that copper bath tub and the killing woman thing are the worst.

Bah, that's what they're doing in my head at least, and I'm far more comfortable that way. But I'm definitely not RJ. If I had been, Thom would have looked better and Mat would be the Dragon Reborn

In KoD Noal is described as being an old old man and Thom was confused as being the leader of the party without any mention of his scrawnyness by that Seanchan guy. For a lot of the descriptions I figured that they were in the PoV of Mat or other teens... and maybe to him Thom was older and more crotchety than he really was. Or something. I convinced myself of that.

I think the difference between a woman slapping someone and a man slapping a woman is the power dynamic. Men as a whole are giving more of a societal privilege and allowance to be violent. "Men" as in the idea of masculinity. There are a lot of good guys. And we have a bunch on this board.
The spanking thing is something that always makes me think of bdsm/kinky stuff. But in RJ's era it was used less in a consenting way and more of a humiliating power dynamic way that was totally unacceptable. :/ It's amazing how acceptable domestic abuse was back then. It was the thing that everybody knew happened but no one mentioned. It was an elephant in the room, I guess.
The Thom thing bothered me a lot. He was supposed to be fatherly toward her too during that part, but he wasn't really her father. That made it weirder. RJ has a lot of spanking with Faile and Perrin to, which was very disturbing to me when I found out that Faile was as young as she was.
Tosh, I agree with you and it was very well said. Better than I'm able to say! I agree with a lot of what you all have been talking about in this thread.

I missed everything! I was driving down to the beach and then having no internet last night.
Now I'm here. The wedding's tomorrow. I'll take pictures but I didn't bring the card reader down here! I'll upload when I get back home.

There were dolphins close to the shore this morning. I like them and all but I can't get over this feeling that they are probably actually the arseholes of the sea.

Marie calls me spawn of Rand, for that is who I resemble minus the tallness.
I forget who the other one is that I am spawn of but that is not important now. Olivia 2, I sort of picture you like a girl Interesting Man but without the beard and now you have gained a pregnancy potbelly.
Everyone else that I have not seen I picture as they have described themselves but all stick figure-ish with their avas floating above their heads. We had a stick figure thread... where was that *searches*

Exactly, exactly. Lan must have gotten lodged in RJ's head while he was starting to write EotW because Chuck Norris sneezed 1000000 miles away and one tiny bit of spray landed near RJ. It was not the full power of Chuck Norris, but enough to represent the awesomeness of "Lan" (who is not unawesome).

That is an interesting feeling. It's almost like your brain is keeping that *file* of what your eyes see open for a little longer than it should.
