Bad News: An evil member of the family is back in town again.
Good News: My dog finally learned to roll over. 
Who says an old dog can't learn new tricks. Mwaha! Also, I got a bit of a raise at work. 
My hair was red and now it is dark brown. Well, it's more like dark brownish with red undertones. Red is hard to disguise.

I meant the Outer Banks, in North Carolina (the barrier islands).
That was where Blackbeard went and all the other pirates when not in the Caribbean, to hide on the freshwater side of the islands where the heavier hulled ships couldn't go without getting trapped on sandbars. This has nothing to do with anything... but I found out Blackbeard used to stick burning wicks, the kind from cannons, in his beard to look like he just came up out of hell. That, and to repel mosquitoes. 
He hated mosquitoes. Don't we all? Seems perfectly reasonable to me. -
you know so many times i have seen her illustrated with blue eyes, its ridiculous. in the WOT encyclopedia she has blue eyes and her hair is up in some goonie bun. she looks like she belongs in Anne of Green Gables. too bad about the comic!
Yes, blue eyes... or as a blonde! Why is picturing a small dark hair and eyed woman so confounding? *feels like Cadsuane for using an old lady word*

That is a shame about Moiraine. I haven't ordered it yet though I was going to. Maybe I will get it later on.

I'm excited about going to the Outer Banks at the end of the month.
It was nice living on the ocean before and I miss standing at the end of the pier and watching the dolphins (and sharks sometimes) swim below while people fish. I miss the waves too and the summer moon over the water!
The only thing that stinks is the sand getting in your car and never being able to vacuum it all out. Well, and the hurricanes! The one year my neighbor lost one of his horses when the pasture flooded with Sound water. They can sweep whole houses out to sea too.

It was more dark comedy than horror. It was gross and amusing. It was funny to read some of the comments on Netflix made by teenage boys. Apparently they didn't get that it was only rapists that had something to worry about in this movie.

I also want to watch the Seanchan empire (or what's left of it) collapse in the Westlands. We've been building up to the "finding out all sul'dam can channel will destroy their socio-political system" since BOOK TWO!
Yes, I want to see this too!
Unfortunately, I think this is going to be one of those storylines that isn't going to get tied up by the last book. It was going to be the subject of the outrigger books, wasn't it?

Double Feature: Bride of the Monster/Plan 9 from Outer Space at the local theater. They were more hilarious in a theater. Maybe because you expect bad movies on tv? Everybody was laughing all the way through Plan 9 but I laughed most at the end of Bride where they "died" by throwing themselves all over this fake and mostly unmoving octopus with mechanical (broken) arms in about one inch of water. And then that made large explosions.

Well, I would like to see the Forsaken really being evil. They have been setting things up for all of these books now and I want to know how their plans have come to fruition. Also, Egwene and the Tower and Taim and his evil Asha'men attacking the rest of the Asha'men.
And more Tuon/Seanchan.

Ash, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa! Will he be having chemo/radiation treatments after? Stage 2, if you're going to have prostate cancer, is a good point to have it so they say.
My dad had that a few years ago and the sugery itself is not difficult. The recovery time can be pretty uncomfortable though, so the nurses recommended not watching too many funny movies to keep from laughing too hard (no sexy ones I expect...!). So many celebrities are dying. I did hear about David Carridine but not too much about Ed McMahon.
I feel bad about Michael's kids.

This was my last favorite book until KoD (I didn't like a certain thing in KoD though). But, important stuff does happen in the other books.

and that happens to me too, when I'm in a cool room after trying it. It doesn't work quite the same as in the books or I'm probably not good at it enough! Maybe this is the real way that RJ meant? Jan - Square breathing is just diaphragm breathing where you inhale, hold your breath, exhale, and hold it again for the same amount of time for each step.
Also, Michael Jackson died. Farrah Fawcett too.

The heat trick is actually not difficult at all. You have to be good at meditation and square breathing.

I found that part kind of jarring. Apparently showing someone's body and face twisting in agony as they are tortured to death is just fine... but OH NO we definitely can't have Mo and Siuan kiss like they did in the novel, or have the Kandori innkeeper be her normal fiery self... because that would just be wrong. Stupid publishers.
I know, you're right. If I start talking about it I'm gonna be up on a soapbox, but basically it's all good to degrade women in comics and mainstream media but god forbid they do anything violent themselves or two people with the same parts kiss. Our childrenzz heads would exploded.

That does sort of look like two different artists there, but also the second one looks like he was drawing her face from down below it, so he made the features look different. It's hard to say? It does look like he was copying Mike S. Miller's style, maybe so it would fit in with the other comics? I sort of like Momo with dark brown hair but black is pretty too! -
