Majority rule can be harsh...
But I'm not sure that ban is entirely legal anyway, so maybe the state gov. will say something.

Anyway, anything interesting happen to anyone?

Even if it was re-legalized, people who treat gays as second class citizens wouldn't stop. That you're legal rights are restricted, however, is wrong. However, I myself am one that the term 'marriage' not be used by political officials at all. I've always found marriage a religious institution, and although I'm straight, I would not feel that the homosexuals were 'dragging us down' by making it required that even if I get married in a church, I'd still have to go to a federal/state/whatever office and get a legal report of some sort for the legal benefits.
I don't need a politician to dictate my morals. And I'm off the belief that discriminating is a bigger no-no in the Bible than homosexuality or atheism, etc. I'm dating an atheist, and I'm happy with her. I like Kaitlin and Olivia, and I believe this restriction of their legal rights as un-American. I don't think these things make God's final desicion. Would I like people to share my beliefs? Of course. Am I going to cram-feed them those beliefs and compromise my sense of love and fairness for all people because of a footnote.
Rant rant rant... I can't stand the Religious Right...
BTW, hurray Obama!

I wish I could vote....

Basically... Within our legislative branch, we have our two-house system. Each U.S. state has a number of electors equal to the number of representatives in Congress we have (2 from the senate plus however much that state has in the House). These electors cast their states' vote on the President, not a direct popular vote by the people. Now, they are supposed to follow the popular vote of their state, but that's not necessarily the 100% case.

Recently, Duke from Tales of Vesperia (yes, that game no one here probably ever has heard of) reminded me of Moridin (but not Ishy classic), although I have no clue as to why.

Lanfear if I had to use any of the less natural sounding ones...
Or Faile. That sounds like it actually might sound like I was sober.

Ah... I've never been good at this... And there is a kind of shortage of good, younger looking actors. We have some very young characters...
@Elayne: I don't see either of those as good ol' (not so much) Mo'. Too... airy. That made no sense, oh well.

I'm finding that I hate the electoral college more and more.
I also am just finding a general hate of politics the more I study it and its history in the U.S.

I'm 17 right now.
I think I was 14 when I joined... I think...

I have two things to say to that.
1. Yay that you got them done!
2. No! I don't want the world to end yet!
Furthermore, it's altogether depressing in my mind that I could've voted had the election been done in the summer, yet it will still be three years after that that I can legally touch that which gets one drunk, although, the idea of losing most of my motor skills is mildly intimidating.
Anyway... to be even more depressing, anyone here do well in Chemistry in college?

Wow... I wasn't expecting this shiny.

Thank you, Marie.

...Please, do not do that again. I beg mercy of you Tosh! Do not type slang! It's a painful experiance for me, ah the burning! Someone, the balefire, quick!
And Asmo, I know very much what you mean. I still have an undying belief a being going by the alias of "The Reaper" online was the guy I sat next to in my English class Freshman year.

I'm inclined to think so.

Lol, oh the encentricies of this place, have I missed the laughs!
I dunno what to say for myself, this probably have been one of the most eventful year-long periods of my life. Which may explain my lack of being here, actually. I also am dreadfully out of date with the world of the Wheel. But, if memory serves... Did Olivia just drop dead now?
However, I did not expect to be greeted as a divine fart.

Purgatory
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You have escaped damnation and made it to Purgatory, a place where the dew of repentance washes off the stain of sin and girds the spirit with humility. Through contrition, confession, and satisfaction by works of righteousness, you must make your way up the mountain. As the sins are cleansed from your soul, you will be illuminated by the Sun of Divine Grace, and you will join other souls, smiling and happy, upon the summit of this mountain. Before long you will know the joys of Paradise as you ascend to the ethereal realm of Heaven.

Well, legally. Albiet where I live I can't get drunk or crash my car until I'm 21, and it's still not legal to do the second.
Happy b-day!

Okay... I read half of it and I was stuck trying to figure out the differences between the book and the fic...
