Maybe we can compromise and say she was masturbating. Oh god I feel dirty saying that word in connection to Moiraine.
Wait...
Moiraine feels what Lan feels. And the other way around. Hypothetically they could have worked out a system so they'd do it simultaneously, so the other would BENEFIT from it rather than being disturbed while doing something important
It's a non-physical way, true, but this I could actually believe.
I should mention I am pretty anti-Siuan these days because I am not a huge fan of her behavior/actions/lack thereof in regards to Moiraine in recent WoT years.Even I am disappointed!
And as for Siuan, if you had the choice between Moiraine and Bryne, why would you pick old guy when you can have hot chick. But she doesn't know that Mo lives!
Or does she?
Hey, this brings back a quote I found funny when I attempted a re-read last year or so. It sort of clashes with NS, but it definitely fits the direction they take in the main series:
The Great Hunt, 4: Summoned(Siuan): Sometimes I wish we still were novices, you and I. Still innocent enough to see it all as a gleeman's tale come true, still innocent enough to think we would find men - they would be princes*, remember, handsome and strong and gentle**?- who could bear to live with women of an Aes Sedai's power.
* Gareth was First Prince of the Sword to Morgase and Thom was at least a court bard, with a courtly manner and insight in The Game of Houses.
** Incidentally(?) the meaning of "Gareth" is gentle.

Even Galad has a hairy chest
There's no way around it, it seems. RJ's men think with that hair, so they have to have lots of it. Even Mat. *sigh* I don't want him to be hairy.
But chest hair isn't that bad. Hairy shoulders are the worst imho.
Thom's chest hair is probably white and silky. Nice, eh? *Actually has fever while posting this* Moiraine can cut some of it off and make a mustache of her own. Something like matching jogging suits.
I confess I'm looking for bull icons in the coming books. (Not a bit surprise) I also confess I don't think Bryne's chest looks anything like my sig. I bet he's got a wobbly belly and hair all over him. Still... I think I'm mainly interested in Siuan's reactions and further development.

I've read a fanfic dealing with this scenario. Let's see... here . Interesting explanation on why Lan's wearing clothes while Moiraine is in disarray, if nothing else.
I don't think they did it, though.

I think I'll stick to fan comics.

Aquarius are ideologically stubborn and need to have everything their own way all the time. Rand has done a lot of social restructuring in the countries he's taken so far. The new wind that washes out the old and tries to change the world.

Apparently there was a recording of RJ reading of the prologue at the JordanCon and there's a short summary on Dragonmount

That crab looks just like Thom
Mat fits Sagittarius best, I think. They're supposed to be curious Don Juans with unnatural luck, because the sign is ruled by Jupiter. http://www.exploreastrology.co.uk/PersonalityTraitssagittarius.html
Rand seems to be Aquarius.

Perhaps you studied too much and overheated your brain. Lack of sleep can be a devil too. I've done some crazy stuff when I've slept less than six hours. It's as if the brain stops functioning.

I'm not saying that they even have star signs. I just think the characters pattern themselves to the different signs of the zodiac. As if RJ did the same as I've started to do. The personality types are there already, ready to use and they come ready with pros, cons and compatibility with others. It's an easy way out for a lazy writer sometimes
He borrowed from different classics and mythology, so why not this as well? At least to some extent.

I will dig a bit more into this and see whether it stretches beyond the obvious Taurus/Scorpios or not. The last part about Thom and Mo was a bit forced
I'd say Elayne, and probably Morgase too, are Leos, though. That's quite obvious (Lion of Andor). http://www.astrology-online.com/leo.htm

Read this and you'll know better what I'm aiming at:
Taurus/Scorpio: http://astrology.about.com/od/tauruslovematches/qt/TaurusScorpio.htm
Cancer/Capricorn: http://astrology.about.com/od/cancerlovematches/qt/CancerCap.htm
There are many different views on these matches. Not one interpretation is the same as another, but the essence is there.

Ever since I found out how convenient it is to use the Zodiac signs for character generating purposes, I've noticed several authors seem to have done the same. Or perhaps there's some universal truth to it? I don't believe in astrology at all, but I like to read about it as how people with different personalities get along and how they view the world.
Anyway, I sensed this strongly in Jordan. Especially the Taurus/Scorpio combo, which is very powerful and sometimes dramatic. Here we find the bulls Perrin and Gareth Bryne for example and their respective Faile and Siuan. Scorpios are known for piercing eyes (Siuan) an urge to get back at people (both Siuan and Faile) and horrible obsession and jealousy (Faile). Taurus people are possessive as well, but on a material plane. Perrin has definitely showed signs of this. Both Gareth and Perrin have shown the patience that goes far, but only to a certain limit where they burst and overreact.
Scorpio and Taurus are opposites in the WHEEL of the zodiac and are therefore opposites of one another, but with some resemblances and a strong pull. Perfect for dynamic love matches in literature? There are more harmonious combinations, where the signs share an element or temperament. I haven't looked much deeper than Scorpio/Taurus yet, because I don't remember the others I read about as strongly.
As I've placed in Siuan as scorpio, which is a water sign (and water looks blue most of the time), Mo would probably be water as well as they were so incredibly synchronized as pillow friends. Moiraine would be Pisces or Cancer, if this is it. Scorpio/Scorpio often don't get along too well, I've read. I'd say Cancer, even though Siuan likes fish.
A Cancer is strong in times of need, very protective and shows a cool fa

You make me miss my braid! *Cut hair too short*

I always thought you were older than me
Happy (belated?) birthday!

Why???

Well, the advantages of using a command line based browser are that one doesn't have to wait for flash images to load or deal with pop-ups (there aren't any ).
I use NoScript with Firefox so I rarely see pop-ups and flash is normally inactivated until I say otherwise

Ubuntu for nearly one and a half year.
But I'm really starting to hate the computer itself. It's a huge old Acer which I can't take with me anywhere and the Wacom Tablets stopped working on it a while ago and nothing happens when I try to reinstall. I'd really prefer a Macbook.
I tried to make an old Compaq laptop usable again by installing DeLi Linux (Desktop Light). I haven't used it much, though.

I was happy to find that they've got character filters now in the WoT section at fanfiction.net. To my extreme disappointment the only selectable characters are Lan and Nynaeve!!!
Bebe Mo makes it feel a little better though.

I still can't really picture them together for some reason. *Falls on knees* Don't shoot me!
It's just that they don't even seem to realise what they're doing. At least not Mo. o.O She seems to think that it doesn't count unless it's a man. Judging from how she reacts when she's kissed by Siuan vs that odd fellow during the testing, who wasn't even real. Or have I completely missed out on something?
-
And it is so weird to think Siuan and Moiraine used to have sex.
Siuan knows what a Nine Horse Hitch is.
I've seen pictures of real nine horse hitches (apparently Amish use them instead of monster size tractors) but the implied meaning still escapes my mind

I hope it was clear that was just a TES IV minotaur.

@ Asmo: I realise it looks kind of satanic XD But the Minotaurs in Oblivion inspired me too. Minotaur for sake of showing similarity -> http://chorrol.com/files/36/obliv14B.jpg

I'm a fan too now. But I don't really use Facebook a lot.

If I do some sort of paintover, I'll use the one without armour.

Yes, the thread is totally hijacked in MW style. That's why I love this place
I used to think of Thom as near 70 until just recently when I thought about it a bit more. He's probably 60-65, isn't he? He was still in quite good shape when he was with Morgase and that wasn't too long ago.
Still, that makes him 20-25 years older than Moiraine and Gareth looks 25 years older than Siuan. Yuk indeed!
I don't like Siuan's change of looks at all. I want her to be her old self again - with her old looks. That's how I still think of her most of the time.
