Speaking of Jordan's male fantasy thing, don't forget how there are so many lesbians/lesbian relationships in WoT, but I only got the one hint of a gay (male, I mean) one. Something in KOD, but can't pinpoint where.

 

As for beauty, call me "so 30", but since I was young, I've had trouble identifying people as "beautiful" unless I like them as people. By that logic, I suppose I should just sit out this subject

I don't particulary mind about that aspect of his middle-aged fantasy either. The lesbians, I mean. It'd be nice to have some gay characters to round things out though!

Apparently it was proven that only a few people in the world are truly 'beautiful' and only a few people truly 'ugly'. The rest are just in between, and just happen to lean towards one of the two poles.

 

Not sure how that fits in with Randland beauty, but there you go.

Not all the females in randland are described as good looking *trys to think or an example* Anaiya for example is described as plain looking, its just the main characters that all appear to be stunning and thats the same in many books

Hmm... I can't always find something attractive about a person.

 

But yes, it is kind of funny with the fact there is a near 1/1 ratio of men and women in WoT that are described (RJ's bosom descriptions... lol), women always seem to have at least one attractive trait.
