I was entranced by the first sight of her in EotW. The way RJ described her....gorgeous. @_@ *love-lost eyes*

I thought she was terribly sneaky at first, but I was expecting the bearded old man (Thom) to be the one that leads the group because of LotR. It was a nice surprise that it was a girl instead! I loved her for her bragging about the fog, and loved her a bit more when she threw her staff down after it was burnt by the Black Wind.

I think the part where she holds off the Trollocs and Myrdraal, even though she isn't as good with Fire and Earth, was part of what did it for me. And for much of TEotW she is physically drained from so much Power-wielding but she still manages to lead them and be in charge.

By the end of book two she was the character I hated the least, so therefore my default favorite. And the rest is history.
