Harp is their version of guitar I suppose. They are both string instruments.

I think the cittern is the closest to a piano that they have (though I don't know instruments well). I think pianos are just too impossible for a traveling gleemen to carry, and too big for most inn common rooms to hold. The only people that would have space/money for one would be Court Bards but I guess they just aren't into that.

Nobility could keep one quite easily. A large standing harp would really be the closest, because that's basically what a piano is, lacking the hammers and such.

 

Cairhienin aren't too interested in music, and Andorans seem a little overly sensible... maybe other countries would take more interest in music! Little lordlings and bitty ladies could learn that too as a part of their general rounding out. Really, I don't know why RJ doesn't consult me about these very important things! *huffs self importantly*
