If you mean when he walks in on her naked, I don't think what followed was flirting. She was caught off-guard, which is something that rarely happens, so to make herself look in control she ignores the fact that she was naked, discusses the Darkfriends like normal, and then throws in a comment about him being handsome and having good shoulders, probably just to keep him off-balance and keep herself in charge of the conversation.

I don't agree; I think she would have said that anyway to ease Perrin's mind. He's seeing darkfriends everywhere and she was simply making him see the most obvious answer: a chick liked him. I never saw that as flirting or her trying to recover from being seen naked. Sometimes a rose is just a rose.

I think that out of the three boys, Moiraine feels sort of an older sister's affection for Perrin the most. She can push him around the easiest.

Alot of the men (and women) in WoT let themselves be bossed around just by someone "looking" at them.

 

Maybe people today just aren't subtle enough to pick up on that sort of thing, so when we bully someone we generally use more than looks.

Yes, that's true, but that was the only time I found it funny. Probably because of all the various looks she gave him (the "but how could you refuse me?" look being my favorite).

 

I do think we are subtle enough. I manage to cow people at work all the time with the Evil Eye. But then, my mother was a very good teacher.

Yes, mothers have also been using, "The Look" to get children to do things they do not want to do for years.

 

I like the, "It is such a simple task. Only truly lazy and halfwitted boys would refuse." look the best.

 

He knew, but he did not know fast enough! He wasn't really being weak, imo, just acting a little more stubborn that the average man would act around an Aes Sedai. Most would probably treat them like Loial treated her.
