RJ undos a lot of what he did in the first part of the series in the second half, I think. In second half, I detect a certain hint of 'putting women in their places', if you understand, after letting them create their own Tower, Matriarchies and the like.

 

I mean, I'm certainly not implying he condones raping a method of 'putting women in their place', but thats the overall impression I get.

If the only way to get actual clarification was to read what RJ said outside the books, then it is no wonder I didn't "see" it.

 

Well, in all fairness it was rather obvious what would happen: I mean, the three heroes are male. Rand has three hos, Mat slept around with countless women then gets to marry a virgin, and Perrin marries a girl who isn't old enough to marry in her own country or even the Two Rivers.

I learned about it plowing around Wotmania back when I read their message boards. That's the problem with WoT sometimes. You have to do background research just to find out what happened!
