And in New Spring she didn't seem to be so stiff and reserved as she is in the mainstream series (maybe she was just a tad naive back then). She giggles with Siuan a lot (but maybe that was the tickle-foreplay) and flirts and laughs with Ryne.

Yes, but she hasn't completely changed. She's just not so girlishly squeeing all the time. She still knows how to play and she bragged to Thom about her line of fog over the river! There are other things too. She has a temper still. I think Moiraine is actually a little emotionally immature for her age when it comes to real relationships with people. She only really had Lan as a constant to bounce things off of for a while.

Ya, if you ever befriended a priest you would see the same thing! The good ones (bah, I'm not talking about the bad crappy ones... they can go sit on a pin!) are very wise about things but at the same time have never had real world experience when it comes to the real themselves. I knew a woman who cooked for them and they really depended on her as if she were a mother about a lot of stuff. Of course... they were men too.

Aes Sedai get everything done for them when they're in the Tower. Sometimes I find it odd to think of Momo living outdoors and having to camp so much.

He does just about everything. Small parish, so he ends up doing most of the Church related work. Also prays a lot, but he grew up on a farm so he kinda has that "God helps those who help themselves" approach to it.

 

Moiraine had Lan to boss around though, so she wasn't totally out in nowhere.
