I was riding the bus the other day-well last week-and there was this guy with EotW! And then I remembered how my own reading had stalled. Anyway, I'm at like page 430 now. I have some notes *too lazy to get them at the moment*

 

I will say this: I love, love, love, LOVE the Moiraine/Nynaeve interactions. So petty they are it just makes me giggle out loud. God, I can't wait for them to be reunited.

Oh, and Fain is such a slimeball. I wish Moiraine/Lan or Thom had stuck a knife in him on the way. I know the dagger stuff had to happen and I like Poisoned!Mat but still.

Oh god the chapter Footprints in the Air (I think that's what it is) where Nynaeve is remembering her "conversations" with Moiraine during the trip to Whitebridge. And Lan just watching like it's a duel. Ah, good times, good times.

I was reading a part of book 1 to my brother and Rand was speaking he said: "Did Lan really know Logain?" Or something to that effect.

Did Lan meet Logain before somewhere? Or is this just some misunderstanding?

"Sleepily he wondered if Lan really did know the False Dragon, Logain." - 6 pages from the end of Chapter 14. Page 201. Though I have the Part One version of EoTW.

I guess I could go back further in the book and read. Just wondered if anyone knew off hand.

How many of the books have you read? Because that is explained. Or rather it is one of the minor things explained by one pivotal discovery.

He might have said that because he thinks they both resemble eachother in that they are both hard, unyielding and they scare the stupid out of him

Yes and when I think about it Logain wasn't very successful. After all, Logain motivated Rand to scale a wall belonging to the royal family... And fall off said wall.
