I think it doesn't make sense that Graendal killed Asmo just in that he seemed too weirdly surprised. He didn't see it coming at all, and he was betting on Forsaken killing him. But, maybe it was. I don't know, maybe Moiraine learned time travel and came back after she was rescued.

...I like that theory because it adds one more to her forsaken defeating list and she is in the lead over Nana. O: )

Yes, maybe that is why I like Elayne/Nana. Birgitte makes me like Elayne more too.

I just love when she shows signs of being Moiraine Jr (please don't kill me, Olivia).

Why would I kill you? I don't have any particular beef with Nynaeve (other than her 'tarded relationship with Lan). Moiraine definitely left a deep impression on Nynaeve, whether the latter likes it or not. Moiraine was the very first Aes Sedai she met (hell, probably the first truly manipulative person she met), so it's not surprising that when Nynaeve tries to be vague, manipulative, or just plain Aes Sedai-ish, Moiraine is the person she patterns herself after.

(Or did you just mention my name to get a response out of me, since the puppy comes when her name is called?)

Heh, Graendal is still my vote for who killed him, if only for that one line that stuck out at me in early TFoH. IIRC, Asmo says something like, "I picked up a saying in Arad Doman" ...Graendal is in Arad Doman. And Lanfear says to Asmo, "If I hadn't hauled you out of your hole, you'd still be waiting to snatch a few scraps." I think he was kinda hiding in Graendal's shadow (or maybe she knew he was there and kept him around for some reason, maybe so they could team up against other Forsaken if the need arose) and then when Graendal came to Caemlyn to sniff out Rahvin's secret stash of angreal/ter'angreal like she did when Sammael died, she decided Asmo had outlived his usefulness.

I actually said to RJ when he signed my books (in really shy, fangirl way) that I thought Graendal was the killer and he gave his typical vague response. xD

Yeah, Graendal has seemed the most likely one to me too for a while, but it just seems a little too obvious. Plus, would he really be that surprised that she is the one that is there to kill him? What, were they once cuddle buddies? :) I am grossed out at the thought!

And I cannot just close my eyes when everyone else will know. Marie knows me too well. :o She will just have to close her eyes too.

Who would be the least likely of the Forsaken to kill Asmo? I was never good with all those connections and alliances, I just know Asmo said "You? NO!".

It seemed to me to be the last person he would expect, someone who wouldn't have a reason to be there (expect to kill him, but he didn't seem to think that.). *Shrug*.

Also, I love Nynaeve and am starting to like Elayne more after rereading 4 and 5 this time.

TREASON!!! I detest Elayne. I liked her early on but as the series continued I liked her less and less every time.

It is only recently that I have started not disliking Elayne. But now I dislike older Min more and more.

Ash, I don't keep up with the theories about it too much anymore either. Ekho, you are right. Many of them don't! ;P I've read the Asmo theory faq over there. It reminded me a lot of what you've said, Olivia, and it's probably the right guess but eh! To me it seems too obvious. Maybe I just want the mystery. :?

Um, spoilery for later books below:

I got teary for Moiraine. Though we know she doesn't think she's automatically going to die it's almost worse to think of her knowing she's going to be stuck in there maybe until she dies and have to avoid the memory/soul/emotion/or whatever stealing Finn. They would *not* like Lanfear. So, she describes being held later on but I wonder what that entails?
