I meant the Outer Banks, in North Carolina (the barrier islands). That was where Blackbeard went and all the other pirates when not in the Caribbean, to hide on the freshwater side of the islands where the heavier hulled ships couldn't go without getting trapped on sandbars. This has nothing to do with anything... but I found out Blackbeard used to stick burning wicks, the kind from cannons, in his beard to look like he just came up out of hell. That, and to repel mosquitoes. He hated mosquitoes. Don't we all? Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Congratulations on the underwater babby.. Olivia2.   I think I may have just fallen in love.

If only Marie.   She was actually my best friend when we were kids. Good times those were, lots of bouncing around and playing gameboy as I recall. That is until the whole bone disease thing really

A tapdancer.   When is it being released? I had no idea it was soon enough to start poaching for releases. Its a bit blindingly white, like the sun, but I like it, also like the sun.

ooo Moiraine we must Wii now! i will look up mine today and post! :D

Kaitlin, do you live in NC? Wow, candles in his beard, eh? That's impressive. My daughter has my little pony names for all of us (somehow I'm just "Mama Pony" :() She calls Gaidin 17 "Blackbeard Pony." He doesn't put things in his beard though. He does blowdry it everyday with a round brush

I'm going to a potluck tonight. I have to make a side dish. Should be fun to see some friends. I'm always too unmotivated to ever to make plans.

Can someone please give my 4 year old a sedative? If she whines one more time about losing her candy necklace my brain is going to melt. *sticks head in sand* There goes my two year old. He's found my Ipod Touch. That's what I get for sticking my head in the sand, I guess.

You probably already bought the shoes but...

I got a pair of Adidas and some other name brand (a skate shoe) for a great deal at Famous Footwear. They were having a buy one get another for half off sale. That is the only time I'd buy some shoes at a mall, though, because I am a cheapass.

well thanks for you input because i did in fact not get the shoes yet! instead i got sucked into my letting my daughter have a friend come over. hm, i think theres a famous footwear down the street from me. and adidas is a good brand. i usually buy some bogus brand but you know being pregnant does a bloody number on your feet. my feet actually grew half a size in my second pregnancy. it was bizarre. :D

i ate so much unhealthy food yesterday at that potluck it was insane. it was a definite binge. i always feel so entitled to do that at these functions.

i will now work-out, wait for G 17 to come home proferring my iced coffee, watch the Colbert Report and the Daily Report, and well, TGIF.

I usually have a walk and a cup of tea around now. I love the summer.

And you know what I've been dying to do for some reason? Shoot marbles.

But I have noone to play with! My woes are unending. I'm going to write a blues song and sing it on unrealistically dark nights under a streetlamp. Though its almost never dark here this time of year. The pain is unbearable!

Whats a potluck? And what should I call you I wonder. Liverella just seems strangely formal, as if even when writing it twists the tongue. Rella sounds good enough, though something in me balks at it. Names are hard.

A potluck is like when coworkers all bring some family sized food dish to work and everyone can dig in.

I call her Olivia2. Because I am original like that.

Also, I added you (you=Olivia) to my address book on Wii.

What about Liv? It's an abbreviation of both Liverella and Olivia and a nickname I already go by, so therefore I won't space out and miss it if you address me as such :D

Yay Moiraine! We must set a time to rendezvous on Wii! So can we race each other in Mariokart or box the snot out of each other? How does this all work?

Indeed, a potluck is a dinner gathering in which the host cooks (usually the main course) and then everyone else brings a dish, like a sidedish or desert. I ate in a most unprincess like fashion for someone who calls herself Liverella.

G-17 broke the trunk of our car today. He closed it on the stroller repeatedly and then after that it just wouldn't close at all. He is usually not a hasty man so I tried not to be irritated, but I am a temperamental woman, so that was unsuccessful. But I was lighthearted about it  and G-17 never gets flustered, thankfully. But now a bungee cord is holding down the trunk. It's so hillbilly-ish. It would sit well in my native Indiana but really in yuppy Illinois suburb it looks quite out of place.

I finally got my new shoes after nearly limping through the mall to buy them. There was no famous footwear at our mall though  I got some well-priced ones at Sports Authority and those arch inserts. i have planter fasciitis in my right foot from being prego. :(

Tosh whenever I think of you I think of Van Halen (thats your avatar, right?) so now I am thinking of someone from Van Halen idly strolling the block and drinking a cup of tea. :D
