    Like you, I fell for her from the start. The intro describing her appearance - blue silk, blue stone on gold chain on her forehead, soft dark hair in ringlets, stunningly beautiful in a mature way - made me sigh dreamily. Her coolness only increased as the series went on and we got to see her more of her personality, and after NS I knew there was no going back from Moiraine-love. :blink:

    Yeah, the rhyme chanted before the game also links up with the questions the Finn ask ppl who visit them; IIRC, "fire to blind, music to dazzle, iron to bind"; no iron, instruments of music, or devices for making fire are allowed by the Finn... which is why Thom's music and Aludra's matches are important. (I didn't come up with this, other fans did years ago.)

     

    RJ was insane about connecting the threads in the books @.@ Some background character is mentioned in book 2 and then she ends up marrying one of the main characters 9 books later... so you just know something you thought was only a child's rhyme or a crazy lady's invention is going to end up being crucial.

    Lanfear and Lews Therin were lovers as college-age kids, but Lanfear (Mierin) was too power-hungry so Lews Therin left her for Ilyena. Later, Mierin turned to the Dark and became Lanfear, and always thought she could win Lews Therin back from Ilyena, who she thought had "stolen" him from her. Even Lews Therin being reincarnated as Rand didn't stop her wanting him. :blink:

    "Spank" in bigger letters than "Sedai"! :lol: Also love that "sex" down at the bottom. The "dance with" and "sweat tent" keywords brought back yummy memories from EotW and TFoH... :smit:

     

    Edit: Before anyone asks, NO it's not me who's responsible for all those "Moiraine spank" searches... at least it wasn't until I read the graph. *off to google* :blink:

    Moiraine and Cadsuane could team up to be the two women who will use Callandor with Rand, though I kinda think that will be Elayne and Aviendha. I really don't like Cadsuane but I know she's not the type to back down even when she's wrong, so I definitely agree that some headbutting between her and Moiraine will ensue if/when they meet again. On the other hand, Cadsuane could give Moiraine some backbone (by that I mean insult her) so she doesn't make another stupid promise to obey Rand like she did in TFoH; that really pissed me off despite Moiraine's reason for it. :oops:

    That Lanfeary stuff happened after Moiraine Sweet Socks came back from her campy trip.

    Did it really? :lol: I seem to remember the Dark Prophecy about Lanfear and the Seanchan being at the beginning of TGH, when all the AS and Emond's Fielders are in Fal Dara. Verin is the one who reads the prophecy to Moiraine and Siuan. I thought that after that was when Moiraine disappeared, once Rand and the boys left after Fain, and Siuan and the AS took the girls down the river to the Tower. I remember Moiraine specifically asking Vandene/Adeleas (can't remember which one) about Lanfear too.

    I think RJ had her disappear for the reason you already mentioned, to make us suspect she was BA. And also just to give all the Emond's Fielders some time away from her so they could each start developing their own quests, etc. and get out of the shadow of the Gandalf figure. Same reason she didn't get to Falme until after all the action. I remember those mock summaries having her say "Luckily, I arrived just in time to do nothing" or some such, which made me laugh because it was so true. :lol:

     

    Or it could be that she was info hunting at places other than Adeleas/Vandene's place, but I wonder what possible info she thought she could find that would make her leave the boy she's been searching for for twenty years. Maybe the Dark Prophecy about Lanfear in Fal Dara scared her enough that she went info hunting for the Forsaken to have some edge against them when they came at Rand. You'd think she would have at least left Lan with Rand to protect him though.

    Sweet! Tower of Ghenjei action. Still though, it could be that that portion of the book will end just as they rescue Moiraine, postponing actual Moiraine goodness until the last book... But I do hope not. :lol:

     

    It'll be cool to see the Slayer/Luc plot finally wrap up too. I hope the characters finally put the pieces together of who he really is. I'm guessing the Whitecloaks are Galad and his crew (didn't a scene in TGS mention Galad with Perrin w/o showing us it?), including Bornhald who is still psycho with hate for Perrin IIRC.

     

    I wonder if this other "unseen foe" Perrin will face is someone we know already, or maybe something to do with the Broken Crown plotline?

    Mo, Nyn, and Eggy haven't been complimented on their lovely 'staches though... so they probably can do some kind of plucking or waxing.

     

    Maybe women in hotter climates trim their squirrel tails cause it's cooler? idk. I kinda love this thread. xD

    I bet Nyn plucks by tugging on her stache in frustration. Or maybe she lets her "squirrel tail" (great term btw, Kaitlin :siuandance:) grow out and weaves it into a smaller secondary braid for her to tug.

     

    I wonder how Berelain manages her garden. She's from a warm climate...
