Yep, more details about it can be expected. Not exactly a ceremony but the actual process. Also the part of how tam makes it to the second in command of the Elite guard of Illian.

Hmm. About the prequel - I have a pre-release chapter of the prequel on my computer - "The Strike at Shayol Ghul", and it documents Lews Therin and the Hundred Companions going against The Dark One, and the lashback that tainted Saidin.

 

I don't seem to be able to post attachments, but I'm more than happy to put it up if a moderator wants it.

 

There are supposed to be 3 prequels, so we have New Spring, Strike at Shayol Ghul. I think a book on Tam al'Thor would nicely round out the backstory.

 

Anyhow, useless observation here, but interesting still. When Morgase was a "guest" in Amador, she was offered help from a young boy named Paitr. Lovely chap. all round good bloke. Too bad the Whitecloaks hanged him for being a Darkfriend.

 

One would think this a plot against Morgase - kill the escape (though Asunawa had no knowledge of it). Think back to Four Kings (book 1). Rand and Mat are taken to by a young man - a darkfriend named..... Paitr. Whaddaya know - it just goes to show Jordan's depth to the series, a character can pop up for a page or two in book 1, only to reappear in book 7 (was it 7?, can't recall now), and play a pivotal role in the story.

 

And a possible plot development for book 12. Possibly a spoiler also, so look at your own peril, but....

 

 

Who else thinks Olver is Gaidal Cain reborn?

Gaidal Cain is butt ugly. Olver is butt ugly.

Coming to think of it, a question that's really bugged me for a while. Before the Breaking of the World, Saidin was free of the taint. so.... what did the Red Ajah do before they started hunting the poor guys?

They didn't have Ajahs back in the Age of Legends. The whole Aes Sedai setup was different. Nowadays, being an Aes Sedai is a job, but back then it was more of a guild/club thing: They had actual careers.

Lews Therin was a politician and writer. Elan Morin Tedronai was a philospher. Mierin was a One Power scientist/researcher. All three of them were relativly important Aes Sedai at that time.

I don't think Mierin was as important in the grand scheme of things; aside from breaking up weddings. Didn't she only have two names as opposed to three?

Mierin was definitely important in the grand scheme of things: she and a male Aes Sedai (Beidomon I think) were the ones that opened the Bore and let the Dark One loose when they attempted to tap into a power even greater than the One Power.

 

But yeah, she only had two names; Mierin Eronaile. (I can't believe I remembered that without looking at the guide book.)

I meant at that time: from history's point of view, yes she's important, but she wasn't as imporant as Lews or others because she lacked a third name.

I believe ickle pickle Loial pointed out using ihs very clever mind, that noone listens to until it is too late, that things gets mixed up alot during breakings *nodnod*

 

So nothing assumed to be truth about the last breaking has to be, because it could all be misconceptions which in turn could be used to generalte drama and amuse all sim playing readers who loves drama.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I haven't really looked in the WoT encyclopaedia or whatever it is (Worlds of the Wheel of Time).....
