I think they probably would have when they were younger (still in the Tower and quickly brushing over the Aiel killed Moiraine's uncles and stuff)...but now, I doubt they would. They aren't as close anymore.

I don't think so. I just agree with Laura1 on them not being as close as they were when younger. But I wouldn't be surprised if two older women did it. It's just how deeply you feel for each other.

Yes, I'm sure many older Aiel women have done it - but its not for Moiraine and Siuan right now. Maybe when they were younger, but not now.

What is sad.. was Moiraine's reaction to hearing about Siuan when she was talking with Egwene about it. Yes, she was extremely icy, but of course Momo shows that when something's going on inside. It really effected her, and Siuan hasn't said much about Momo in return! *sighs*

But I don't think Mo would really do that anyway, because it's an Aiel thing. She's not much like those Cairhienin that wanted to be so much like the Aiel, but missed all the important things about the culture. (Even though, I thought they were endearing in their own ways, poor short ones!)

Yes, why Berelain? I don't even think there is any interaction between Moiraine and Berelain other than the scene where Berelain is introduced, when she brings the letter from Lanfear to Moiraine and the others that are lounging about the Stone at the end of TDR.
