If Momo showed up where you live

It is true that Momo isn't real, but I was just thinking of all that fanfiction people have written where they put themselves into the WoT world (So much MarySue wotfic and hardly enough slash out there! >.< ), and also remembering a dream I once had.

 

Instead of talking about what you would do in Randland, what would Momo do if she got mixed up coming back from the Foxxy land and showed up in your hometown/city? I am curious! What would you do if you ran into her trying to talk to a tv in a shop window, or something else. *only thinks of silly things, but is sure you guys will think of things much more clever*

Well first I'd fall over from shock. Then while I was down there Moiraine would join me.

 

I'd do my best to somehow get her back to Randland though! They need her, and as much as I would love to have her, it's where she belongs. She's spent her whole life trying to better that world, so her stay in our crazy dimension would only be a vacation before she got impatient to get back.

*giggle* There was a part of her Aes Sedai test that had her showing up in a city where people spoke a different language and there were impossibly tall buildings. I always wondered if it was supposed to be New York, or Tokyo... one of the major cities. RJ put in a couple of sneaky other references to the real world too, so maybe!

 

I would probably be selfish and keep her for a while. She wouldn't be speaking the same language, so I'd try to teach her the important things: Yes, and no, and curse words that didn't mean what she thought they meant. *evil* I would try to show her the bathroom first, because Randlanders go in pots! That would be too embarrassing and I'd feel bad for her. Then, I would take her to different places and watch what she does. I'd take her to an amusement park, Vegas (hopefully she'd win us some money by op cheating!), a spa... she deserves a little vacation so that one would be for her and not just for my own amusement... *lies* okie, that would mostly be to see what she'd do when they tried to stick her in a tub of mud. I'd take her to lots of music events too, and coffee houses... I'd make her tons of different foods and try to get her to eat chocolate. *squees*

 

Moiraine would be a very difficult little Randland pet though, wouldn't she? Much more tricky than most of the others... even Nynny! You could never be sure what clever thing would happen, or if she would suddenly decide to wander off somewhere!

 

Oh yes! I forgot. I would share her with everybody here too and take soso many pictures. *would teach her the computer*

I would help her as much as possible, and that's it. I know I know, not very fun of me, but I can't help but be realistic about it.

Yes, maybe I wouldn't really do all those mean things after all, but I would like to take her to some places and see what she liked!

I just find it odd that people think they could magically become her lover. I wouldn't want that for myself anyway, but I think even becoming friends would be a hard task.

She might be terribly depressed if there is no magic to channel here... :-/ She'd probably need to be admitted and filled with antidepressants and ETC!

Ack, I hadn't thought of her not being able to channel! How to get her back? That would be terrible. Sending her to a hospital might make her feel worse.. I don't know.. I'd want to do the best so that she could be helped. She wouldn't be able to leave if she were commited, and I doubt she'd understand the nature of places like that! If she tried to hurt herself I guess she would have to go somewhere where it would be safe! But, it reminds me of that movie, "12 Monkeys".

 

I wouldn't want to be her lover. I would want to be her friend, but that would be kinda unlikely. I still think she'd try to give me the slip!

 

What would she think of the books?? At least with the cover art being so bad she might not realize it at first.

Yes, that's why I think even being her friend is a stretch. The girl would be running away all the time. Like some feral cat.

Yes, the best that could happen is that I would just try to show her I was useful enough to take along. I would feel very responsible if she ran off not knowing the language if she couldn't even channel either. She can take care of herself, but what to do about a person that doesn't know about passports and weird security measures!
