Kaitlin 22
And holy crap, fires >_< all over the southern part of my state. The Governator even had to deploy national guardsmen to help fight the fires. It's pretty close to the region where I live, but hopefully I won't have to evacuate like I did 2 years ago. That really sucks. :/ How long did you have to stay away last time?
Olivia 26
Thankfully only a few days, Kaitlin; it didn't directly damage the area where I lived, I still was evacuated for safety though. The smoke and ash in the air now really sucks, especially with the insane winds (which were what made the fires such a problem in the first place), I can't even go outside for half an hour without feeling sick. Not in any danger where I am at the moment though, thankfully. (Also, I know I'm a weirdo in that I think that seeing nature devastate so much land like that is awesomely terrifying; I certainly don't want people to die or lose their homes, but WOW. O_O)
Ekho 52
Yeah things like fires can have a sort of terrible beauty
Tosh 8
I love being on the sea during a storm. Just gives you this wonderful feeling if man versus nature. Me and my father were caught in a pretty harsh storm last year. It was awesome, and I mean awesome in the old sense of the word not the "this hotdog is awesome" kind. With the waves roaring and crashing into the boat and since the rain and salty water totally blocked the windows you had to stick your head out through this hole over the seats to be able to see. Olivia 26
@ Tosh: I'm deathly afraid of the ocean, but I can see how incredible an experience like that could be O.O @Ekho: Yeah, I love lightning too! There was a thunderstorm here about a month ago and I went out in it and got totally drenched while I watched the flashes and listened to the booms. @Marie: Aye, last I checked almost a million ppl had to be evacuated

Marie 73
Bidding on ebay sucks! I just wanted one little video game. I lost out on three of them (or was it four?) before giving up and just getting a slightly higher priced one through a buyitnow auction.
