I think it can only get better with Sanderson writing it. I like his style -- he's lucid -- whereas RJ was losing it a bit towards the end. I know a lot of people speculate that he wasn't actually writing everything. *shrug* I don't care really, I just need to know what happens and Rand died

I want another Bryne pov. In a way I hope

that Bryne sets Gawyn the sissy straight about matters, puts him in a saddle and smacks the horse all the way to Caemlyn. That's what he gets for supposedly burning the wagons with supplies for the rebel army! Oh, he can leave out that Egghead needs to be rescued. The Seanchan will see to that.

For me it isn't about better/worse, but that RJ=WoT for me. I know that seems obvious, but what I mean is, his style of writing is how I am used to reading about this world, and I don't know how well I can respond to someone else doing it. It'll always feel a bit like official fanfiction to me.

I will say I love RJ's style. Towards the end I disliked his pacing, but I have always loved his style. However, I was pretty hesitant about book 12 even with RJ writing it, so it is nothing personal against Sanderson.

"Official fanfiction" Interesting way to put it, but I think you're right. As much as I complain about WoT and RJ, the two things combined for me almost define fantasy....

 

I like Sanderson's writing, but it will not be RJ writing WoT any more.

I will say I like the title (as it stands now) Memory of Light.

That implies a lot that the light is something that needs to be remembered.

The title does imply certain things but it could just be another of those vague titles that doesn't reveal anything about the book

Yes, RJ did become as vague with his Book titles as he had always been with his Chapter Titles...

The chapter titles were vague but you could always tell who was in them/what they were about just by looking at the chapter icon.

I wonder if it costs lots extra to have a chapter icon... it may very well be the feature I likes best.
