Um, hi. I found this forum here today fucking about on the internet and I started reading your posts, and then a though occured to me. Isn't it possible that Moiraine died and is living in tel'aran'rhiod and will be brought back at tarmon'gaidon when Mat blows the horn of valere? I guess what she said in that letter to Rand sprouted the idea. "You see, I do not know what happens in the world after, except perhaps for one small thing that does not concern you." Any thoughts?

Well she has afterall directly or indirectly killed two of the forsaken. While this hawkwing person just scurried about with large armies calling himself a king, yet he is honored as one of the worlds greatest heroes.

Yes, you're right, it seems like she would meet all the requirements for being one. Perhaps if she doesn't live in the rescue attempt she'll come back when the horn is blown! That would be a little sad, though.

So heres a question, when moiraine comes back will she know what has happened in Randland since shes been away or will she be completely clueless? I think she'll know some things thanks to the rings in Rhuiden, and the doorway in Tear, but some will come as a surprise.

Ooh this is an interesting question.

 

When you write a story and the main characters have to explain it to someone, the story so far that is, do you just go "And so they told Momo of how great Rand is", or do you write it all out? Writing it all out adds the abliity to make Momo go "ooh" and "Ahh" When ever they come to moments Rand were especially manly.

 

I suppose, RJ doesn't mind rambling through the story again though. Seeing as he's good at rambling.

 

On the oter hand, he made Moiraine to be all godessness and she might come back with twice the cup size and four times the magical power or something in order to make Caddie make tea for her with honey in... and to bicker more than ever with Rand.

We know that Cyndane is a little weaker in the power than she was when she was Lanfear. So maybe some of that potential has gotten transfered to moiraine during that fight and tumble into finnland ? Better yet, their potentials have been inter-changed ?

Cyndane was more powerful than Graendal, which moiraine wasn't so their potentials couldn't have been switched, but I love the idea of momo coming back more powerful:)

More powerfull probably means more attractive too in RJ's eyes. Maybe Cyndane lost her prettyness to Moiraine.

 

That would be clever for all those who wants and hopes Moiraine making off with Rand in the sunset in the end. Because Rand loves any girl that isn't too cheap (he is kinda rich after all) bickers with him, looks pretty and becomes submissive when inlove.

 

Min's view of three crying girls would confirm that theory too...
