Favorite Wheel of Time book

Recommended Posts

Well, since I've started rereading the series I thought I'd ask which of the books you prefer and why?

Mine's is probably a toss up between Eye of the World and Knife of Dreams. I like Eye because back then most of the characters were still likable and it moves a heck of a lot faster. I like Knife because

Momo's letter, duh.

I liked the Eye of the World, Fires of Heaven and Knife of Dreams.

Eye of the World because I was like...wow.

Fires of heaven because of Moiraine's heroic departure and its spawning of a thousand theories.

Knife of Dreams because we finally get confirmation as to the nature of pillowfriendship and

Moiraine's letter

.

Momo letter!! Oh ew! That's the one thing I did NOT like about KoD!!

My favourite WoT book would be Eye of the World or even Fires of Heaven because FoH was the emotional high with you know what :P

Oh... and New Spring. Does that count?

Momo's letter was a relief just in that Thom wasn't wasting time for no good reason. Blaming it all on Mat having to be the one to ask made me like Thom again. :P

*just wanted a reason to have the clicky thing too*

It's hard to pick a favorite. Right now it would probably be tDR and NS just because it's been a while since reading either of them.

I think I liked KoD because it made me fall in love with Thom. Although I disliked the knowledge that he had been sleeping around while he knew Moiraine was waiting in a dingy tower for him to rescue her. I can't find the spot where Mat thinks about how Thom isn't drinking anymore. Unless I made that up.

The Eye Of The World for the whole book itself. There is not even a single page that I found boring or not interesting (cannot say the same thing for the KoD or books 8&9&10). The one thing that I really enjoyed in the Eye was the great and definetly new idea that when you are the most evilest thing and when you know that someone is coming to get you you should put all of your effort to find and kill him. Just for the idea that the main character is weaaak and stays weak (not like many other books where the MC is an amazing warrior/mage after 300 pages). I've seen this idea only in one computer game - BG.

New Spring for the last page. If we leave our affection to WoT actually in the book nothing happens. But as I read the last page I again thought "RJ is a great writer". It was just this that was enough to make me like the book realy much.
