I didn't pick up on any Thom/Moiraine until book six when Thom got her letter and that friend,enemy,lover thing and I went "awww he liked her".

On topic: The thing that made me realize Thom liked Moiraine was that scene in TSR when he finds her sitting in his room and thinks "now there was a beautiful woman, with every grace a man could want, including laughing at his quips" (I think that's the line) I didn't think she liked him the same way though. *cries*

What would stink badly is if she got all lovey devoted while Thom was still being flirty with other women or at least not being properly good back in his own way. I really wouldn't like RJ then!

I know! But I think we can't escape Thom/Mo any more. I don't like it, but I'm shrugging and moving on! Hopefully my elation at Rand's death will overshadow it!

 

But more important, I hope Moiraine doesn't become all simpering lovey-dovey that EVERY other woman in WoT has! Even Nynaeve, though she does retain a smattering of her old self!

I hope she doesn't become like every other woman either. I have a bad feeling she will though, from the letter. Even if she does, ugh, maybe she can make up for it as long as she has more to do in the last book than be a simpering carbon copy of the rest of the WoT women.

I liked the darkish atmosphere of the last book. But really, RJ should keep to what he can do best and leave the darkishness to other writers.
