I didn't love Magic Kingdom for Sale: Sold much much because I have attitude problems. The book wasn't bad or anything but I kept getting annoyed at the fixing broken country attitude and kept thinking it's no wonder there is war in Iraq. I'd have enjoyed the story so much more if it didn't try to do politics.

 

I didn't like it either, but it was so long ago I can't remember why. That was probably a major part of it, tbh. I hate when a main character goes into a totally foreign situation and solves all of their problems for them. It's especially annoying when the MC does it by just stumbling into solutions and magically guessing the right answer every time. /rant Anyway, bleh.
