Well. Here's the thing: I go through headphones faster than Rand al'Thor goes through wives. For an audiophile, this is very sad. I guess I was wondering if anyone had any favorite brand of headphones.

I cannot help you. I buy cheap headphones precisely because I go through them so fast. These are just a cheapie pair of noise canceling ones. Skullcandy are pretty, and I've looked at them, but they'd die on me in half a year.

My Sennheisers are good and fancy still! And I read they make wet resistant ones for girls too.

Sennheisers are good. I have also used Sony and philips ones, with the latter being the most robust. I've heard Skullcandy and Panasonic are good too.

I have been using a Koss for a year now.

 

I usually go for the middle range .... around $60-$150. They last me quite a while.

I also use the cheaper options because I ruin them pretty fast. Currently using HCL's iPod headphones. I did think of trying Skullcandy and Sony. I have used Sony before and they're good, though expensive...

Sometimes when you buy not the cheapiest, they manage to not break quickly.

More expensive ones should last longer, except it might not make much of a difference if you constantly are listening to music. I guess the most durable pair would work... but I know from experience that Sony and Phillips don't seem to last much longer than the 6 month mark either. Maybe another brand?

I always buy cheap ones and it's quite impossible to judge them based on the price tag. Some break right away, while I had a pair of really cheap ones that I used daily for over a year until I got tired of the weak sound.

You shouldn't spin around too much while listening to stuff. It makes headphones go glitchy and die. Marie must be spinning really much while listening, and Buggling too.

 

No doubt the weak sound in Ms. B. Fan's head phones inhibited her spinning and made them last longer.

 

When Niklas got his current ones, he thought cleverly and got wireless ones that can't go glitchy.

I don't know alot about headphones, and nothing about ones for ipod/mp3 listening.

My friend recommends those above though.

 

Plantronics.

Those are the ones I have, which I love.

 

I agree with Vertex though, from what I've heard. I think it's worth spending a bit more, less likely to break. But I wouldn't pay too much, doesn't always ensure quality. Cheaper does seem to break easier.

I've had a pair by some brand called Aonike for atleast two years now. The mic seems to have died but they still sound fine, though i cannot comment on whether the quality has deteriorated or not.

The cheap ones almost always go early and don't sound too good. At least that's been my experience. My best ones have been Sony.

Well, just so everyone isn't all "oh stop being cheap!" the ones that broke? Sony. So yeah. And not the little dinky ones, the big DJ-esque kind of headphones.

My current ones were a gift, so...they were free.

 

I don't like the bass on them. My Philips had better deep sounds.
