I would just argue some chaos theory at them or mention strings and then watch the fun. *likes Marie's new sig*
jan 14
I spent my last 3 days in Delhi with someone I thought I was dropping hints to, but it turns out both of us misread each other even though we were (are) both interested! Net result: NOTHING happened! ARRRGH! *slaps self*
Asmodean82 0
........ That's an all too familiar story these days. You have my empathy, good Sir. The climate of even the simplest courting interaction is about as confusing to navigate as it has ever been. There are no clear roles in the genders anymore. And neither party is able to articulate this. Everyone is too busy playing or surviving mind games. It seems to me that mixed signals are the only thing we of the texting, Ipoding, emailing, generation can do anymore! Have we lost our ability to be people in these circumstances? I mean it was hard enough before the PC culture where suddenly everyone had to bend over backwards to be more sensitive. Shit, people will frown at you for saying, "Merry Christmas"! Jan your plight struck me because I've had a number of similar experiences in the last few years. I've been single for going four years, because of how freaking hard it is just to get people to communicate on even a moderately real level. And maybe I expect to much out of people, (I do) but I also suffer from the curse of valuing people and finding time and time again, how few value themselves. I apologize for this rant and I don't mean this to be an indictment of either gender. I just think the general dehumanization of our culture is doing everything it can to drive us all from each other... so that the only place we ever interact is in a disembodied screen plugged into the wall. My example: I like to people watch! I find it fascinating. Anyone, ever notice how quickly people look away when their eyes catch yours? Some few look back, and there is a momentary connection. Most look away.... afraid. It's a hard lonely road and I felt bad for Jan. Anyway, thanks for letting me go on. Love to all.
Tosh 8
I like to people watch! I find it fascinating. Anyone, ever notice how quickly people look away when their eyes catch yours? Some few look back, and there is a momentary connection. Most look away.... afraid. Watching people is alot of fun, especially with some kind of bewerage... And maybe a muffin.. Or something else thats awesome. I'm good at meeting new people and I can hold a conversation most anyone if the mood strikes me, beyond that innitial contact though everything falls apart. And if thats because I rarely meet anybody I actually like and I'm emotionally desensitized or if I'm simply bad at it I don't know.
