Olivia 26
Very sad to hear that too, Kaitlin Some of the kitties at my work sometimes get FLV or Panleuk or other diseases and it is always sad to see them go. I hope your other cats pull through!
jan 14
@Kate: So sorry to hear about Boo . I really do hope Fizzy is unaffected. Can you test her and treat her as a preventive measure?
Kaitlin 22
@ all  Maybe it was only poor Boo that was infected, but they all had different opportunities to catch it. I don't want to be too pessimistic, but also it's better to be prepared. Sorry to be venting in these posts.  Ajit - Thanks, I have also not forgotten your pm! Sorry for taking a while!  Olivia - Thank you, do you know if some of the cats develop immunity?  Jan - They can start supplements that will boost their immune system. There's medication too but some have side effects. I will be getting them tested this Friday and find out what Fizzy could take if she ends up having it. My sister's cats are going too and we will find out. She might have better luck, since she only has watched Bootin twice since she got her cats.
Asmodean82 0
Oh no! I'm so sorry about Boo, Kate. My thoughts go out to you, your Mom, Happy and Fizzgig. Fizzgig is a pretty name and a nice Dark Crystal reference. Â *HUGS of hope*
Olivia 26
Olivia - Thank you, do you know if some of the cats develop immunity? Â I'm not sure =/ We give all the cats FLV shots before they get adopted, but I'm not sure whether that's only a preventive medicine or if it will help a cat who may have been exposed to it. You'd have to ask your vet.
Kaitlin 22
*hug Asmo* It's a fun movie! Â Thanks again, Olivia. I'll be sure to ask and see what the vet says.
Tosh 8
You know, cats with leukemia is perhaps one of the saddest things I've ever heard. I hope Lady Fortuna gets off her fat ass for you Kitten (and kitties).
