Kaitlin 22
That's really great, Tosh! Hey, they need to give you free tickets. You are family after all. >: D Actually, after watching the preview, I need to look for a subtitled version when it comes out.
jan 14
So apperantly they're making a movie about my great grandmothers grandmother, and there are some pretty big names (in sweden) starring in it. Oh, that's so cool! Yay for grannies, and grannies of grannies! And yes, you must insist on that free ticket too.
jan 14
*pokes thread* Where is everyone? I want to show off about running a semi-quarter marathon! Well, it was 5km, but "semi-quarter marathon" sounds so much more exciting It was in Auroville, and I'm really thrilled about being able to run and finish! *beam*
Ekho 52
Congrats Jan, I'd be lucky if I could run half that
Asmodean82 0
Hey HEY! Go JAN! That's mighty cool. I have great respect for any and all with that kind of enduring dexterity. What was the run for or about? Where is Auroville? Talk more about it. We the people want to know!
Ishmael Moridin 0
Wow, congrats Jan !! 5km is still something. I could run 3-3.5kms in the summer of 2008, I wonder how much I can now?
Kaitlin 22
Congrats, Jan! Did you take any pictures of Auroville after the race? You should show!
AshSnow 0
Nice Jan! =p I use to love running...haven't ran for a long time now lol.
jan 14
More about Auroville. It's a nice place, though I find it disturbing that you have to be rich to go live then anyway! The event we went for was the annual Auroville Marathon. I'm hoping that next time I can do a longer distance run :-) I did take some piccies, and there are some nice ones at the beach. Will post soon.
Vertex 23
You have to be rich to live lots of places I peeked in the papers today at the apartment adds, and even the tiniest place here costs all you earn for a decade. It requires you to be in dept for life unless you are lucky and can sell the place with a profit and move in with a lover. It really is a bad thing that so few really own their homes because when bank interests rise, people won't be able to pay and it makes the economy collapse all the worse. So what the entire world economy comes down to, is giving Niklas an apartment
jan 14
Well, we all want an apartment. Or a lover with an apartment.
Vertex 23
Personally I don't want an apartment, I'm just thinking of the good of the world economy.
Asmodean82 0
I'm in the midst of losing my apartment. No job and no hiring in NYC is making life super duper rough (most certainly for us twenty somethings). I can't even afford to break my lease so I gotta find someone to take it off me. Stupid collapsing world economy. But hey, if I find a survival job in the next month, maybe I won't have to lose me roof. Unfortunately it's hard to say if that will break as I have been job hunting since August. I need a hug.
Vertex 23
*hugs* For your sake I shall accept any apartment I may be given. Even if it doesn't have air conditioning or a jacuzzi. Viva la world economy!
Olivia 26
*hugs Asmodean tightly* That's cack-tastic I do hope things work out.
