Twat, Idjit, muppet, halfwit, numpty, oaf...I'm not sure how may of these have crossed the pond but they're the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

 

Try watching spike from Buffy, hes always got some good slang terms :P.

Let's say you are a british person: are there slang terms for "idiot"? I trust mw more than google...and I'm lazy.

Ekho listed some good ones. "Dolt" also works, and "Drip" is a funny word my English mom uses for idiots ("What a drip!"). And "dim" or "thick" as adjectives ("thick as a brick" was uttered with a noticeable eye-roll and head-toss combination whenever my brothers did something stupid).
