Do elaborate. Was the person arranging the interviews a fellow WoT fan and gave it to you out of solidarity? If so, that is awesome. There should be a list somewhere of "strangest real-life things that have happened to readers because of WoT".

Its an interview for a job at HarperCollins (the publishers - not sure if anyone has heard of them? Most exciting!). But yeah, I had to fill in some preliminary questions and send off a CV, and one of the questions was: "Describe a well-published content". So I wrote about The Towers of Midnight and The Gathering Storm - I went on about Tor letting Jordan's widow choose the replacement to finish the series, how it created an emotive beginning, how there was lots of interaction between Sanderson and the fans, particularly through the medium of twitter, how Tor created that Tower Guard program to generate free publicity, the new ebook covers to generate interest, Sanderson's frequent blogging, his 'bar of completion', etc - essentially how fans are becoming more involved in creating the content they consume, and how it worked because both books were New York Times Best Sellers and it generated a lot of interest in Sanderson's original works. And they emailed on Friday to say they wanted me to come in for an interview, eeee. Obviously it could go nowhere, as its only an interview, but I'm quite pleased that my 7 or 8 year devotion to one fantasy series has paid off!

I should get some credits too! I'm pretty sure I wished you luck...or supported by suggesting helpful tips for getting rid of competition anyway.

What's the job position?

Its a graduate scheme, so they take you in and train you for a month or two and then put you with the department you're most suited to.
