And I would have relished in the opportunity to wish Jan a happy birthday, in fact, that I was unable to do so hurts me more than the savage blow dealt by your silvern tongue.

 

I am beyond anguish! I kneel beyond both heaven and hell at the very precipice of the abyss, and I cry, cry into its endlessly multifarious maw for forgiveness! For you to grant me forgiveness that I do not deserve, Jan. Pathetically wailing to be forgiven for the cold dagger I helped slip into your back.h

 

But do not! For the last vestige of sanity that remains to me knows beyond any doubt that my crime was far too heinous to be washed away by such divine mercy.

 

Oh, and happy birthday. :P
