Doubleposting for sort of good news about Moiraine. Marie and I think it is bittersweet.

 

 

Moiraine can channel, but has lost nearly all her power (Apparently the Eelfinn can drain your ability to channel, which also explains why Lanfear is much less powerful now). In fact, Moiraine says she couldn't channel strongly enough to become Aes Sedai if she was a novice anymore. However, she got to keep the angreal that Lanfear had been using when they fell through the doorway. With it, she is more powerful than she was originally.

Bleh Seanchan. Really bleh. I'm so sick of them I can't even muster the energy to get frustrated at them anymore, just kinda glaze over them. Same with the Asha'man.

 

HAHAHHAHAHA "Rand Sedai" HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAH! Oh my, I can't breathe. HAHHAHAHA.... Funniest crap evar. Really rolling my eyes at Rand's Marty Stu-ness, from what I've read so far. He can see Darkfriends now? And they can't even bear to look at his radiance? Egwene's AS just let him breeze in and out of the Hall? What the hell. This is even worse than the silliness that was Rand's TGS Marty Stu-ness.

 

The more I read the more disappointed I get. (Though of course I'll wait to see if ToM itself actually confirms any of these things and whether they're as silly as they sound.) Ah well. At least we got a Mesaana confirmation, and hey it WAS Danelle all this time. She faded so far into the background I was starting to suspect Shevan.

I searched before work for info on Thom and his ~lady~ but it seems most of those who got the book early do not realize how important their love is. I did glean that they talk about their feelings for each other. In front of Mat.

I am so excited right now and happy. Mo/Thom is the only female/male couple I have liked this much in a long long time! (And I do not discount Momo having pillowfriends in the future either xD ) Awwwwe, I love that they just blurted it out in front of Mat. His reaction must have been priceless.

OK so I was thinking this before I found out about marriage spoiler, but the first guy to give Kate and I info was all "romance is implied" but I was like, you also said they talk about their feelings in front of Mat so...what is there to imply? I realized he must have meant romance=sexy happy times and considering this latest revelation I think that was a safe conclusion to make.
